Turn on the lights that are normally used when watching the television or using the computer monitor. Colors and viewing quality are affected by the lighting around the monitor, so it is important to make the adjustment in the correct setting or the process will need to be repeated later.
- 2
Push the menu button on the monitor. This is typically located at the bottom, right along the frame of the monitor. It will say "Menu" or be an icon that indicates a menu.
- 3
Push the navigation buttons on the monitor to move through the menu to find the "Color Settings" option. Push the menu button to select this option. Navigation buttons are usually arrows pointing in opposite directions or a "+" and "-" symbol. On a television the color option might be labeled as "Picture Mode" or "Picture Settings."
- 4
Push through the options using the navigation buttons and make the desired selections. LCD computer monitors allow the user to adjust for red, blue and green or use a preset option. Brightness, image settings and screen positioning will be other options in the overall menu and not inside the color options. Televisions will allow changes to hue (the green tones), picture contrast, color temperature (white adjustments to make it blue or more neutral) and color all under the picture mode menu.
- 5
Push the menu button to save the settings. The menu button may need to be pressed a second time to completely exit the monitor menu. Some monitors will exit the menu if there is no activity after a preset amount of time.

How to Adjust the LCD Color
Adjusting the LCD color on a monitor and a television is a very similar task. Both monitors use a basic menu to control all kinds of functions and options, and the menus are typically accessed in the same manner. Once a computer monitor color change is mastered, the LCD television monitor will be an easy task instead of a frustrating experience.
