Rub the RCA shell and center conductor with 1000 grit sandpaper. This serves as a mildly abrasive polish.

Wipe the outer shell and pin with metal polish. Allow the formula to sit on the metal for a while, so the polish pulls residual oxidation to the surface.

Thoroughly wipe the metal shell and pin with the clean cloth to remove all dust and polish. Repeat as needed to remove oxidation and prevent its accumulation.

How to Avoid Oxidation on Audio Cable Connectors
Oxidation is a possibility on all base metals. RCA connectors often use gold or platinum to mitigate the possibility of this from occurring under normal usage. However, even premium cables made of precious metals that are prone to tarnishing can suffer from this.
