How to Beat the Gun Towers in "Borderlands"

"Borderlands," a first person shooter, was released in 2009 for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. One aspect that makes "Borderlands" unique is that there are many different kinds of guns the player is able to use for a wide variety of situations. This broad choice of weaponry works to your advantage when faced up against gun towers: large wooden towers with a turret at the top. Using the sniper rifle will be key to victory.

  Maintain a safe distance from the gun tower. Ideally, you will want to stay 50 feet away from it so you will be out of range of its gun.

  Press "Start" to bring up the menu. Equip any sniper rifle you are carrying. Sniper rifles are identified as such in the menu for easy recognition. Exit the menu.

  Aim down the sight of the sniper rifle at the enemy behind the turret, at the top of the gun tower. Shoot him until he is defeated. You will be able to shoot him; however, he will be unable to shoot you.
