How to Break a Cintas Service Agreement

Cintas provides companies with uniforms for rent or lease through a service agreement. A contract is signed when a company chooses a program with Cintas. For example, the lease agreement requires employees to launder the leased uniforms while Cintas provides repairs, size changes and replacement uniforms when needed. However, business downsizing or the lack of participation from employees may require that you break your service contract with Cintas.

Make a copy of your original contract with Cintas. If you cannot find your contract, ask your Cintas service representative -- who generally visits your company once a month -- for a copy of the contract. He is to submit the request to Cintas Corp., which will mail you a copy of your agreement.

Write a letter requesting a cancellation of your contract. Use your company's letterhead. The letter must be signed by the person who signed the original contract or his replacement.

    • 3

Include specific information with your request, such as the current date, the original date of the contract, the reason you want to cancel the service, the date you expect the cancellation to take effect and your contact information.

Submit the request to the Cintas corporate office by mailing it to:

      Cintas Corporation

      P.O. Box 625737

      Cincinnati, Ohio 45262

Also, you may contact Cintas' customer service department directly by calling 1-877-413-5913 or completing the online contact form on its website.
