How to Burn a DVD at Maximum Size

DVD-Rs comes in a few standard sizes. Single-layer DVD-Rs and DVD-RWs are 4.37 GB, although they will usually hold just under that. Double-layer DVD-Rs and DVD-RWs are 8.5 GB in most cases. As long as you have a computer that can burn a DVD, you can fill your DVD-R with as many files as it can hold before you burn it.

Drag the files you want to burn from your PC into the DVD-R folder. Drag as many files as will fit on your DVD-R, depending on its capacity. If there are too many files for the DVD-R, you will get a dialogue box telling you there are too many files to burn to disk. Remove some of the files in this case.
