How to Can Apple Preserves

Apple preserves consist of large pieces of apples submerged in a thick, sugary syrup. They are an excellent way to enjoy apples year round, particularly during fall and winter months. Preserves are a great addition to toast, pancakes or waffles, as well as hot breakfast cereals. If you are in the mood for fresh preserves, consider making them at home. You can make several jars to give to family and friends or to sell at a bake sale. Unopened apple preserves typically keep for up to one year, so you can store them in your pantry for future use.
