How to Change an Address With Child Support Online for California

In the state of California, you may manage your child support account online. The California Department of Child Support Services offers an interactive online tool that can be used to view payments, case status and keep your personal information current. You can also make payments and contact your local child support office through the online tool. If you need to change your address, you can do so using the online tool.

  Visit the California Department of Child Support Services website (see Resources). Select "Check My Child Support Account" in the menu.

  Click "Log In" and enter your Social Security number in the appropriate field. Enter your PIN number in the next field. If you need a PIN, you can request one online by providing your name and Social Security number (see Resources). You can choose to receive the PIN by e-mail or standard mail delivery.

  Select "Address Change" from the menu and enter your current mailing address information.

  Enter your new mailing address and click "Submit." You must enter at least your e-mail address or telephone number to submit the request. A representative may contact you if there are any questions concerning your changes.

  Exit the child support services system by clicking "Logout" in the top menu.
