How to Change a Contribute Password

Adobe Contribute is a website publication application that allows you to carefully control the content of your site through review processes that will verify content meets standards prior to publishing. Contribute offers a wide variety of supported features, including support for Flash and PDF files, a what-you-see-is-what-you-get editor and XML editing. It is compatible with both Windows and MacOS. When using Contribute, you have an option to require a startup password to increase security. If you use this option, you must enter the password each time you start Contribute. Changing the password constitutes a simple process in Contribute CS5.

  Open Contribute. You will need to enter your current password.

  Open the Preferences dialogue box. On Windows operating systems, this appears under the "Edit" menu. On Mac operating systems, this option appears under "Contribute."

  Select "Security" from the list located in the left pane of the dialogue box.

  Enter the new password two times.

  Click "OK."
