How to Clean a Couch With Oil Eater Cleaner Degreaser

Oil Eater Cleaner/Degreaser is a professional quality, water-based home cleaner that can be used for a variety of cleaning projects, including concrete driveways, carpets, clothing and furniture upholstery. With the correct water dilution and application, you can clean your couch with Oil Eater Cleaner/Degreaser, but the product is not recommended for couches made of soft leather or suede.
    • 1

      Put on protective cleaning gloves.

    • 2

Mix 1/2 cup of Oil Eater Cleaner/Degreaser with 2 cups of warm water, and pour the solution into a spray bottle.

    • 3

Spray the solution onto the area that is stained or dirty, then gently blot the stain with a soft, dry cloth. Do not scrub or agitate the stain.

    • 4

Blot the stain again with a clean, damp cloth.

    • 5

Allow the couch to air-dry, and repeat the process if the stain is still visible. If the stain still does not come out, try making a stronger cleaning solution, this time with 1/2 cup of Oil Eater Cleaner/Degreaser and 1 and 1/2 cups of warm water.
