Echo chainsaws are available in a variety of engine sizes. Similar to other brands, Echo's engines are measured in cubic centimeters (cc), so the higher the number, the more powerful the engine. As of late 2010, Echo produced chainsaws with engines sizes from 30.5cc to 80.7cc.

The saw of the chainsaw, known as the bar, is measured in inches. Chainsaws with larger bars are able to cut larger limbs, and Echo produces chainsaws with bars from 14 to 38 inches. Echo's more powerful models give you the option of selecting two or three length bars for each engine size.
Weight
-
Some models are designed to be lightweight, allowing you to handle them easier while climbing. The lighter weight chainsaws are the smaller, less powerful models.
Starter
-
Echo also offers a reduced effort starter on some models that allows you to start the chainsaw using less effort than is typically required. This feature is generally available only on some of the lower powered chainsaws, and not on the larger, professional models.
