How to Convert a Normal Template From Word 2003 to 2007
Word templates are pre-designed forms that are used for future documents. Microsoft comes with several templates including resumes, fax sheets and brochures. You also have the option to create custom document templates. The release of Office 2007 changed the way Microsoft Word saved your templates. Word 2007 saves files using the XML format. Your current template is saved as a "dot." When you convert it to 2007, it changes to a ".dotx" file.
