How to Cover a Text Book

Covering your text books helps save them from wear and tear. A brown paper bag serves as an ideal cover. Not only are you helping the environment by reusing, but you're covering your books with a blank canvas just waiting for your personal touch.

Cut the bottom out of the bag and then cut up one side so you can lay the bag flat. Iron the bag if you'd like to get out any wrinkles, but this isn't necessary.

    • 2

Lay the paper bag out flat with the blank side facing down. Open your book and center it on the bag.

    • 3

Fold the top and bottom edges of the bag so that they line up with the top and bottom edges of the book. Leave a small amount of overlap to ensure the book is properly protected.

    • 4

Fold the paper bag at each end of the open book and, one at a time, slip each end of the book into the folded cover.

    • 5

Label or decorate the cover however you'd like.
