How to Detect Spector Pro

Spector Pro is a type of spyware that can infect Windows-based computers. If you're trying to determine whether your computer has become infected with Spector Pro, run a full system scan using a native utility called Windows Defender. Available in Windows Vista and Windows 7, Windows Defender will detect all instances of spyware on your computer, including Spector Pro.

  Click the arrow next to "Scan" at the top of the Windows Defender program window. Click "Full Scan." Windows Defender will perform a full scan of your computer. If Spector Pro is on your computer, it will be detected and listed in the results of the scan after it has completed.
