How to Dismantle a K850i

The K850i is a cell phone manufactured by Sony Ericsson, a joint venture company based in the United Kingdom. The K850i is also known as the K850 in some countries. You might want to take apart this cell phone to access the battery or SIM card or if you plan to store the phone for a long period of time. The Sony Ericsson K850i is uncomplicated to dismantle; you should allow five minutes for this task.

      Press and hold the power button on the top of the phone. The K850i will switch off. Disconnect the charger from the phone.

      Slide the battery cover on the bottom of the phone upward to disengage the lock. The battery cover will fall open.

      Push the end of the SIM card protruding from the phone underneath the battery cover. The SIM card will click and spring outward. Pull it out of the phone.

      Slide the orange latch holding the battery in place downward. The battery will pop out.

      Slide the battery carefully out of the phone.

      Close the battery cover by lifting it back into place and sliding it down toward its hinges.
