How to Download GodTube Clips to MPEG File

GodTube is an online video Web portal that focuses on delivering content for the Christian community. GodTube was merged into the Tangle online Christian Community website, a social networking site for Christians. To download GodTube videos and save them as MPEG files, both a download tool and video conversion tool is required. Zamzar, GodTube Video Downloader and the Effect Matrix Youtube Video Download Tool are three programs that will both download and convert GodTube clips to MPEG files.

Zamzar

  Open the desired video in a Web browser and select the video's URL from the browser's address bar. Press "Ctrl"+"C" on the keyboard to copy the selected URL to the clipboard.

  Go to Zamzar.com (see Resources) and click the "Download Videos" tab. Under "Step 1," click the "URL" link. Right-click in the text box that appears and select "Paste" to paste the video's URL into the box.

  Select "Mpg" from the drop-down menu box. In this case, Mpg and MPEG are the same thing.

  Enter your email address, then click the "Convert" button to begin converting the file. When finished, a download link will be emailed to the email address entered.

GodTube Video Downloader

  Download and install the GodTube Video Downloader (see Resources). This is a free program dedicated to downloading GodTube videos.

  Run the GodTube Video Downloader and use the drop-down menu box next to "Save To" to choose a directory where the file will be saved.

  Select "Mpeg" from the "Save As" drop-down menu box. Copy the GodTube video's URL, then paste it into the box at the top of the screen. Click the "Add" button.

Effect Matrix Youtube Video Download Tool

  Download and install the E.M. Youtube Video Download Tool (see Resources). Launch the program, then open a Web browser and play a video from the GodTube website. The E.M. Youtube Video Download Tool will automatically sniff out the video's location and begin downloading the video as an FLV file.

  Wait while the Youtube Video Download Tool downloads the video file. After the file has finished downloading, click "Convert FLV to Video."

  Click "New Task" and select the FLV file from the hard drive to add it to the list of files to be converted. Click on the new task item to select it, then place a checkmark in the box in front of the item in the list.

  Click "Change a Format" and select the MPEG video format. Then click the "Convert Now" button to begin converting the FLV video file into an MPEG video.
