Call Verizon Wireless customer service at (800) 922-0204 using a landline or other cell phone. (Your XV6700 is not yet activated.) Customer service operates Monday-Sunday from 6am until 11pm.

Follow the audio prompts to reach a sales representative to add a line (if you already have Verizon service) or to add a new phone. If you have trouble following the prompts, try pressing "0" on the phone or saying "representative" or "operator" on the phone.

Speak with the representative and explain that you want to activate your phone with a new plan or add it to an additional one. The representative will discuss costs and options such as data plans and text messaging plans, and will set you up with a phone number.

Supply the phone's IMEI and ESN numbers when asked. These are on a sticker under the phone's battery. Dial *228 on the phone when instructed, and press the number "3" to complete your phone activation.

How to Enable an XV6700
Before you can use your XV6700 pocket PC, it must first be activated on the Verizon Wireless service. The phone is only compatible with Verizon. If you already have Verizon service, you can add a line or deactivate a phone and activate the new one in its place. If you do not have Verizon service, you will have to be set up with a new plan.
