Install any CD that came with your phone to make sure your computer will recognize your phone when you plug it in.

Connect your phone to your computer with the phone's USB cord. Click "Start" in Windows and select "Windows Media Player" from the menu.

Select the "Sync" tab. Click on the folders underneath where your phone is listed on the left side of the Sync tab. Click and drag the sound file you want from the folders over to the "Sync List" on the right side of the tab.

Click the "copy from device" button to extract the sound from your phone to your computer's hard drive.

How to Extract a Sound From Your Phone
If you have a sound on your phone such as an MP3 or WAV file that you want to transfer to your computer, you can use Windows Media Player. The program is free and available on most computers running Windows.
