How to Find the Home Values in My Neighborhood

If you are considering selling your home, you may first want to check the values of the other homes in your neighborhood. This can help in you determining a list price for your home. When you are trying to determine neighborhood home values, you may see tax-assessed home values and recently sold or listed home prices. The tax-assessed home values will likely differ somewhat due to the fact that recently sold prices reflect the current market conditions.

Look in your local newspaper or real estate magazine to check for listings of homes in your area. If you find some, the listing prices will give you an idea of the values.
