Clean Print Head

Verify that you have paper in the paper tray of the printer.

Click on the computer's "Start" button and select "Devices and Printers."

Right-click on the icon for your Epson printer and select "Printing Preferences" from the context menu.

Go to the "Utility" tab. Click the icon for "Nozzle Check," and then click on the button for "Auto."

Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the process. A nozzle-check pattern will then print on a sheet of paper.
Run Power-Cleaning Cycle

Press the "Menu" button that is on the control panel for the printer.

Press the "Down" arrow button until you reach the option for "Maintenance." Press the "Menu" button again.

Press the "Down" arrow button until you reach the option for "PWR Cleaning." Press the "Menu" button to select the option.

Press the "Menu" button again to begin the cleaning process. Follow the instructions that appear on the display, if prompted to raise or lower the ink levers.

Run a nozzle check after the cleaning has completed to verify that the print head is clean.
