How to Get Datacores on Destroy All Humans! 2

"Destroy All Humans! 2" is a retrospective third-person shooter in which players control an alien bent on collecting humans' genetic data and destroying them. Cryptosporidium-138 (nicknamed "Crypto") continues in his predecessor's steps following the first game of the series and poses as the president of the United States. While wreaking havoc and seeking revenge for the destruction of his mothership, Crypto finds datacores scattered through his missions that give him upgrades and abilities.

  Retrieve the first datacore during Crypto's first mission, which acts as a tutorial to familiarize you with the game. The datacore is on the rooftop of the Hashbury landing zone; walk into the floating object to gain a Dislocator weapon, and follow the tutorial on using and switching weapons.

  Fly to a high-altitude area with your jetpack, which you have the use of from the beginning of the game; pick a place that has a good view of most of the level. From rooftops and other lookout points, datacores are more readily visible since they are meant to be hidden only from normal altitudes.

  Complete odd jobs available through every level; these are often designed to lead Crypto to a datacore location as a reward for doing the task.

  Speak with other characters frequently, since they will occasionally hint at a location of a datacore and place a marker on your radar to make the search easier.

  Search for datacores after major, scripted fights and "boss" fights; for example, defeating Bongwater awards a datacore, and more are available in the white ninja compound after a difficult battle and during the last Arkvoodle Cult mission.
