How to Get a Driving License Back After a Ban

A person holding a vehicle driving license may be banned from driving and his license removed because of traffic violations or other criminal activity. The length of the driving ban depends on the nature of the offense; regardless, there are certain steps to follow to get your driving privileges reinstated. It is a fairly simple process, and as long as you follow the rules you can have your license back in a reasonable amount of time.

Wait to receive your reminder application form from the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency in the post around the time of the completion of your ban for bans of two years. Bans of two to four years allow for potential reinstating after two years. Any ban up to 10 years allow for application after half the ban length.
