How to Get Money in Rune Factory 2

Making money in "Rune Factory 2" mainly revolves around farming crops. Caring for growing crops is required for them to grow large enough to sell. You need to work your crop fields once per day for plants to grow properly. Each day of plant care missed causes the crops to take an additional day until the crops are ready for sale. Missing too many days causes the crops to die from neglect. In addition to losing the money that would be made selling the crop, you also lose the money used to buy the crop seeds if plants die.

  Clear the field outside your house of debris and objects. The axe is used to destroy tree stumps. The hammer is used to destroy rocks. Any other debris can be picked up by pressing the "A" button. Each crop uses a three-by-three section of the field.

  Use the hoe to till the field. You can till only cleared areas of the field.

  Use the seeds from your backpack to plant the crop. Seeds can be planted only on a tilled field. Nine plants in a three-by-three square are planted when a seed is used.

  Repeat Step 4 once a game day until the option to harvest the plants becomes available.
