How to Get Notary Service Online With the Pennsylvania DMV

The services of a notary are required when official documents need authenticating. The Pennsylvania Department of Motor Vehicles requires all new residents who own vehicles to complete a registration application within 20 days of moving to Pennsylvania. New residents making this application may require online notary services to help verify their address and identity documents. The Pennsylvania DMV states most notaries are authorized agents of the department and some, but not all, are available online.

      Log on to the website for the Pennsylvania Department of Motor Vehicles and select the page "How to title and register your out-of-state vehicle in Pennsylvania."

      Select the Locations Information Center, highlighted in blue on the page, to locate an on-line messenger in your local area.

      Enter the area where you live and ensure you select a larger proximity so you get a larger selection of online messengers and so have a greater chance of finding a notary service online.

      Email all the available online messengers the website provides and request a qualified online notary to assist you.

      Select "Contact" at the bottom of the site should you have any difficulties. They have an email option for any queries you have.
