How to Get Rid of the Microsoft Network Login

Each time you start Microsoft Windows, a login screen appears asking for a user name and password. You can eliminate this login screen by setting your computer to automatically log in. Windows has a feature that lets you boot directly to the computer's desktop using a default user name and password. This is beneficial for people who have a computer at home and they do not need the security of a login screen.

Remove the check mark labeled "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer." This lets the user access the computer without a user name and password.

Click "Apply." A pop-up window opens labeled "Automatically Log On." Click "OK" to accept the settings. Click "OK" again in the main user configuration console.
