How to Increase Speed on a Broadband Card

The speed on your broadband card is only as fast as the connection that it has with the Internet. Your ISP (Internet Service Provider) controls the speed of your Internet connection through different levels of connectivity. You can always pay for a better connection and your card will react accordingly. However, there are factors that can dramatically decrease your broadband card. These factors can be avoided by keeping your broadband card drivers up to date through a Windows Update.

  Connect your broadband card to your computer.

  Click the "Start" button and then click the "Control Panel" icon.

  Click on "Windows Update" from the menu.

  Click the "Check for updates" button on the left side of the screen.
