How to Insert Ear Buds

Ear buds are compact listening devices that can improve your listening experience when using an iPod or a MP3 player. When inserted properly, they form a seal with your ear canal, thus improving bass quality and canceling out a great deal of surrounding noise. However, many people do not know how to wear ear buds without them falling out. With some practice, inserting ear buds can be a simple task.

Identify which ear bud goes into which ear. Your ear buds should be marked with either an "L" or a "R" to signify left and right.

Hold onto the ear bud and gently insert into your ear. The ear bud should fit snugly. If the ear bud feels loose, apply a little more pressure when inserting. If your ear buds have foam, let the soft material fill your ear canal for maximum comfort.

Plug the audio input connector of your ear buds into your MP3 player. Always turn on your music player at a low sound setting to avoid blasting loud music into your ears unexpectedly. Adjust the "V" cord by pulling up or down to your preference as you move about.
