Open the hood on your 99 Camry and disconnect the black negative battery cable.

Pull the ashtray forward and away from the bottom section of the dashboard panel. Starting from the same area of the dash panel where the ashtray was, pull forward on the panel until it comes off of the dash.

Unscrew the four screws located on the corners of the stereo by twisting the Phillips head screwdriver counterclockwise.

Slide the old stereo forward. Locate and disconnect the wiring harness from the backside of the stereo. The cable wires are black and the plastic connector is white. Remove the old stereo from the dash. Unplug the black antenna cable from the back side of the old stereo.

Plug the antenna cable into the back side of the new stereo. Follow the wiring guides that were included with the new stereo and the wiring harness to connect all of the wires correctly. Tape around each of the spliced wire connections to protect the stereo and ensure proper function of the stereo system.

Snap the dash panel back on the dashboard and push the ashtray back into its original position. Plug in the negative battery cable and close the hood.
