How to Install an AC3 Filter

Commonly known as Dolby Digital, AC3 audio is a digital format that can handle a high amount of compression without negatively affecting the audio quality. Many videos available on the Internet are encoded with AC3 audio. To play the audio of these files, you will need the AC3Filter. The AC3Filter is a free decoder that incorporates an immense number of processing options to configure the audio before it is sent to your audio receiver. Videos that use the AC3 codec will become audible after installing the AC3Filter.
