How to Install Java on a Blackjack II

The Blackjack II is a smartphone manufactured by Samsung. Designed for use specifically with the AT&T Network in the U.S.A., the device operates on the Windows Mobile 6 operating system. Although most new applications on Windows Mobile 6 do not use Java, many older applications are still based on the Java programming language. In order to run these applications, users must install Java FX, a free third-party plug-in, on their Blackjack II.

Download JavaFX Mobile 1.2 for Windows Mobile for free (see Resources). Open the ZIP folder by double-clicking on it.

    • 2

Connect your Blackjack II to your computer with the manufacturer-supplied cable. Drag the "SUN_JAVAFX.CAB " file from the ZIP folder you opened to your Blackjack II.

    • 3

Click on the Blackjack II "Start" menu. Go to "File Explorer" and double-click on the "SUN_JAVAFX.CAB" file to launch the installer.

    • 4

Select "Device" when the installer asks you where you want to store JavaFX. Wait a few minutes for the installation progress bar to complete. Wait for a window to pop up that says your installation has completed successfully.

Click on the "Start" menu and locate the "JavaFX" folder. Double-click it and click "Menu." Click "Open" and then select the Java application you want to run. You can now run Java apps on your Blackjack II.
