How to Install the Remote for a Philips MMS171W

The Philips MMS171W 2.1 Multimedia computer speaker system is a self-powered computer speaker system. The system includes two speakers and one subwoofer for a total frequency range of 35Hz to 200KHz. The system also includes a wired remote control that allows you to adjust the audio level of the system with the turn of a knob. The remote connects to the system using a 1/8-inch cable, and also includes a line-input jack that can be used to connect an MP3 player, CD player or similar device.

  Unplug the system AC adapter from the wall.

  Place the remote on your desk in the location that you would like it to remain.

  Run the cable connected to the remote to the left side of the subwoofer.

  Insert the connector on the end of the remote cable into the top-most jack on the side of the subwoofer.

  Plug the AC adapter back into the wall to complete the installation.
