How to Install the SEP Client

A Cat5, also known as a Category 5 cable, may not work, or may break, because of excessive use. People normally use this type of cable to set up a computer network because it has the ability to give multiple clients on a computer network online access. However, if you have a Cat5 cable that does not work, you need to figure out the problem quickly to resume normal network activity.

Remove your Cat5 cable from the computer or adapter port to test it.

Remove your Cat5 cable from the router to which it connects.

    • 3

Insert another Category 5 wire in your router as well as into your computer or adapter port. Note that the Cat5 cable you insert needs to work, or the entire process becomes null and void.

Go to a website on the Internet via your computer. If your computer reaches the website you attempt to view, you most likely have a Cat5 cable that works. However, if you do not get online, the problem most likely lies with another part of your system and not your Cat5 cable.
