How to Make an Avatar Super Hero

Avatars are pictures that represent you in the online world. It might be a small picture that sits beside your posts on a forum or a real moving character on an online game, but your avatar is essentially the online version of you. There are a few websites that allow you to create a superhero avatar for free, and it's fun to add your own touches to create your own unique superhero.

  Choose a base model from the three options. Enter your name in the field under "Prototype Data" when you're taken to the next screen.

  Add any accessories from the "Hero Packs" menu. These are accessories taken directly from your favorite superheroes' wardrobes. You can choose Wolverine's claws, Iron Man's mask, Spiderman's costume or many others.

  Customize your avatar using the menus on the left-hand side. You can edit your skin type, head, upper and lower body, and add accessories. You can edit the color for each of your selections using the color board in the bottom-left corner of the window and then add them to your hero.

  Click "Download" when you're done to save your avatar to your computer. You can save it if you are registered on Marvel's website.

  Choose your body type from the four options and enter your name underneath your character on the left-hand side.

  Click the drop-down box underneath the "Choose Slot" option. The available options will appear, and you can choose anything that you want to edit on your character. The options for your chosen body part will show on the right-hand side.

  Select your desired part and choose the color from the options in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. Each item has two separate colors that are accessible under the "Color Items" option, which is to the right of your character's name.

  Build your superhero and click the "Save" button. This is the down arrow icon. You will be given a code which can be pasted anywhere you want, and then you can use the code to bring the image up again on Hero Machine.

  Select your gender. When you click on the relevant image, the screen will change and ask you for your age and name. Enter them as directed.

  Work through the menu on the left-hand side and edit your avatar's appearance as desired. Select a skin tone, head shape, eyes, hair, mouth, nose and ears, then continue through the remaining options. Change the color by clicking on the desired color from the multicolored bar at the bottom of the screen.

  Click "Finish/Share" when you are done. You can post it on social networking websites, download wallpaper or email it to your friends.
