Clean the antelope horn. The horn will have a point at one end and an open portion on the wider end. This is where the horn was attached to the animal's head. Clean inside and outside the horn with a damp, soapy cloth and dry it with a dry cloth.

Buy a bugle or trumpet mouthpiece. You can often find these with old trumpets at thrift stores. Even if the trumpet itself is broken, the mouthpiece is a solid piece of metal and is generally functional. Alternatively, you can buy a bugle mouthpiece at a music store.

Use a pencil to mark where you will cut. pencil image by AGphotographer from Fotolia.com
Measure the size of the smaller part of the mouthpiece. This is what needs to go into the horn. Measure the horn to determine where the diameter of the horn is around the same size as the base of the mouthpiece. Mark it with a pencil.

Use the bone saw to cut the horn where you placed the mark. Clean up the cut area with the damp cloth. Place the mouthpiece in the hole. If it is loose, add a ring of duct tape around the area where the mouthpiece and the horn connect to ensure a good seal.

How to Make a Bugle From an Antelope Horn
An antelope is an ungulate, which means that it is a hoofed mammal. Like a sheep, the antelope has horns. The antelope's horns are quite beautiful and twist and curve. Sometimes antelope horns or horns from other horned mammals end up in estate auctions, garage sales, and thrift stores. There are also antelope farms where you can purchase antelope products. The Jewish shofar, a religious instrument, is made out of an animal horn. You can turn an animal horn in your possession into an instrument resembling a trumpet.
