How to Make a Lord's Prayer Braclelet

The Lord's Prayer, sacred to most Christians, is not only one key element of the rosary, but is a commonly-recited prayer throughout all of Christendom. The prayer is believed to be from Jesus himself on the eve of his crucifixion. Today, Christian sects still find peace and comfort in reciting the verse. Jewelry inscribed with these words is common, and making one for yourself or as a gift can be both sentimental and thoughtful.

Measure your bracelet size. Unroll the jewelry wire and wrap it around your wrist, ensuring that the wire is loose enough to be comfortable but not loose enough to slip off. Be sure to leave at least one inch extra for clasp tying. Excess cab be trimmed off later. Cut the wire to the desired size.

Attach the clasp. The lobster clasp will come as two parts, take the non-clasping piece and thread it through one end of the wire. With your fingers, tie the wire around the clasp in a double-knot so that the clasp dangles from the very end of your wire. Pull the knot tight to ensure it is secure and small. Trim away any excess wire with scissors.

Thread the beads. Using your chosen beads, thread 20 of your beads, alternating the 6mm beads with the 4mm ones. This should use up half of your beads.

Thread your Lord's Prayer charm. Take the charm you have selected and thread it through the wire so that it sits in the center of your bracelet. This will be the focal point of the bracelet. Most bead stores carry a charm with the Lord's Prayer inscribed. Alternately, you can find a movable treasure chest or box charm to use. If this is your preference, print out the Lord's Prayer on piece of paper cut small enough to roll up and place inside the box.

Finish threading the beads. Working with your prior pattern, thread the rest of your beads onto your bracelet. Depending on your wrist size, you may need to adjust the number of beads you thread.

Attach the other clasp. Tie a knot in the wire after your last bead, ensuring that it is close enough to the last bead that all the beads remain flush. Thread the movable side of the lobster clasp and tie a knot securely to attach. The two knots should be very close together. Trim off the excess wire, and clasp onto your wrist.
