How to Perform Finishers in "Mortal Kombat"
In 1992, Midway released "Mortal Kombat," a fighting game that allows players to to perform finishing moves that humiliate the opposing player in a gory display called "Fatalities." To perform a fatality, players must defeat their opponent and wait for the game's announcer to yell "Finish Him!" Then players have a small window of time to input the correct button combination and perform their character's finisher. The player will know a fatality has been successfully executed when the announcer shouts "Fatality!" after the move is finished.
