How to Post Labor Posters in Michigan

Michigan Minimum Wage Laws require certain posters be placed in the workplace for all employers of more than two employees. The Federal Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 requires all employees to earn a wage equal to or greater than the Federal Minimum Wage, as of 2010 Michigan's minimum wage is higher than the federal minimum wage, meaning all employers must post Michigan Minimum Wage Law posters for their employees to view.

Find a location in your workplace that is open to viewing by all employees. Typically, labor posters are placed in break rooms, storage areas which are used by employees, or any other location that is easily accessible and open to all employees.

Secure each poster using tape, staples, push pins or any other fastener that will securely hold the posters in place.

Inform all current employees the posters are available, including the location of each poster, especially if not all are located in one place. Each new employee also must be informed of the posters and their locations.
