How to Program a Keyless Remote for a 1997 Land Cruiser

Land Cruisers are four-wheel-drive, off-road vehicles manufactured by the Toyota Motor Corporation.The 1997 Toyota Land Cruiser is equipped with an optional keyless entry system that allows you to lock or unlock the vehicle's doors remotely.   Close and lock all doors of your Land Cruiser with the exception of the driver's door, which you should leave open and unlocked.

  Insert the key in the vehicle's ignition cylinder and toggle it between the "On" and "Off" positions; quickly remove the key. The power locks will automatically cycle if you have completed this step successfully.

  Press and hold the "Lock" and "Unlock" buttons on the keyless remote for one second to program it to your Land Cruiser. Release the buttons and then hold down just the "Lock" button for two seconds; successful programming will be indicated by the vehicle's power locks cycling once.
