How to Program a Saeco Espresso Machine

Saeco manufactures many models of automatic espresso machines for use in the home. Depending on your model of espresso maker, you will have different settings and programmable options. If you have lost your manual, there are some general guidelines to help you program your machine.
    • 1

Plug in the machine into a working electrical outlet and set it to the "On" position.

    • 2

Set the desired language. When a Saeco espresso machine is turned on for the first time, it will prompt you to select a language. Setting the languages will adjust the display of beverage parameters according to a specific country.

    • 3

Decide whether or not you want to install the water filter. Saeco machines come with a built-in water filtration system that purifies the water and improves the taste of the coffee. You will be prompted to select an option after you have entered in your language.

    • 4

Select the "Menu" button to program other machine functions according to your tastes. Browse through the various programmable sections, including beverage settings, machine settings and special functions.

    • 5

Select beverage settings to program how much milk and coffee are dispensed whenever the key is pressed. You can browse through different types of beverages and adjust the quantities accordingly. Any changes will be saved over the factory default settings.

    • 6

Select machine settings to program general machine operations. In this section you can program water hardness, change the default language, clean the machine, set the clock and set the operation of the cup-warming plate.

    • 7

Select special functions from the menu. In this section you can view a beverage count to see how many beverages have been brewed and what types they were. You can also set your coffee to brew based on prestored recipes or set the factory settings back to default.
