How to Put All My Programs on an SD Memory Chip for Palmone

Secure digital (SD) technology, developed by Panasonic, SanDisk and Toshiba, allows data to be saved to solid-state devices. SD cards allow for the amount of memory that a handheld device like a PalmOne can hold and use. Use an SD card to load more programs on your PalmOne or store the programs on it as a backup.

Put the SD card into a card reader attached to the computer. If you don't have a card reader, purchase a USB card reader. Open the drive by clicking on it in Windows Explorer.

Copy the downloaded Palm programs. If you don't have the original program files, re-download them and save them to your hard drive. Select the files, right-click on them and choose "Copy."

Select the SD disk in the drive and choose "Paste." Remove the SD card. Put the card in the Palm or put on back on a computer later if needed to reinstall it.
