How to Read an SMS From Windows Mobile

Microsoft is the developer and provider of the Windows Mobile operating system, specifically made for mobile phones. This operating system is compatible with a wide array of phones and delivers Windows-based features like Windows Media Player and Office Mobile, as well as Internet and email accessibility. Another feature of a Windows Mobile device is the ability to send and receive SMS messages, which are web- or mobile-based text messages. To read an SMS message from a Windows Mobile device, you will need to access the device's messaging inbox.
  • Touchscreen Phones

      Tap the "Menu" button. Generally, a Windows Mobile touchscreen phone has the menu button located at the bottom of the device's screen.

      Tap the "Messages" icon.

      Tap on the SMS message displayed in the inbox to open it and show the entire contents.

    Non-Touchscreen Phones

      Press the "OK," "Menu" or "Start" button, depending on the model of Windows Mobile phone.

      Scroll to the folder marked "SMS/MMS" or "SMS," depending on the model of Windows Mobile phone, and press the "OK" button. You will be sent to the inbox, where you can view SMS messages.
