How to Record on a Windows Soundcard

Windows Sound Recorder has been around since 1995 and is a simple audio recorder. Use Windows Sound Recorder to record your voice (like when practicing for a new language), save your file and play back to hear how well you pronounced the words. You can also send your saved file as an email attachment to a teacher. To use Windows' sound recorder, you must have speakers, a microphone and a sound card. Most computers come with a sound card already installed.
