DVR technology is constantly evolving. With the proliferation of smartphones and the ability to access the Internet from virtually any location, it has made watching our favorite television shows even easier. Set up your DVR if you are a customer of DirecTV through any web-enabled device. If you wish to do this on a mobile phone, simply type the address found in the resource section below into your web browser. You will have to sign into your account, but after that you will be able to schedule your recordings. If you are operating on a laptop or any other computer, use the same link to sign into your account and schedule your desired programs directly from your computer.

Download Comcast Mobile, Comcast's iPhone and iPod touch app, which allows you to set up your recordings on either of these devices. Type "Comcast Mobile" into iTunes' search engine--this will allow you to then download the app to your device. From there you will be able to bring up your DVR and schedule your recordings.

Use either your computer, iPod Touch, iPhone or iPad to schedule your recordings through Dish Network. Much like the other two services, Dish Network allows you to log into your account through any web browser and, though they do not provide an app, you can access your schedule through their website through any of these Internet-connected Apple devices.
