How to Reinstall Microsoft .NET

The vast majority of computer users globally use Microsoft technology at some point in their working day. Microsoft .NET is a useful tool for anyone who is running Windows, of whatever variety. However, if problems have occurred, then it is possible to reinstall the .NET Framework so it can run smoothly. Whether or not you have manually uninstalled it, or it has been deleted, it is a simple process to reinstall it on your computer.

  Ensure that you have fully uninstalled the Microsoft .NET software by clicking "Start," "All Programs," "Accessories" and "Run," typing "Installer" in the Run box and pressing "Enter." On the menu that appears, press "Details," "Name" and then "Comments." Right-click on the file marked "Microsoft .NET" and click "Uninstall."

  Go to the Microsoft Download Center (see Resources). Search for and download the Microsoft .NET package for the version you wish to reinstall.

  Follow the instructions of the installation wizard, which will guide you through the setup. Click "Next" to cycle through the stages and click "Finish" when you come to the end.

  Finish the installation by rebooting your computer. This may take some time, although when it has restarted, your Microsoft .NET will be fully reinstalled.
