Ensure that you have fully uninstalled the Microsoft .NET software by clicking "Start," "All Programs," "Accessories" and "Run," typing "Installer" in the Run box and pressing "Enter." On the menu that appears, press "Details," "Name" and then "Comments." Right-click on the file marked "Microsoft .NET" and click "Uninstall."

Go to the Microsoft Download Center (see Resources). Search for and download the Microsoft .NET package for the version you wish to reinstall.

Follow the instructions of the installation wizard, which will guide you through the setup. Click "Next" to cycle through the stages and click "Finish" when you come to the end.
