Click "Start" and then "Run." In the window that appears, type "regedit." This will open the Registry Editor.

Click "Current User," "Software" and then "Policies."

Click "Microsoft" and "New." Right-click "Key." This will create a new key.

Rename the new key "Internet Explorer." Within the Internet Explorer key, open another key named "Photo Support."

Right-click the empty area in the right side of the window. Click once to open "New" and once more to open "DWord Value." Create a new value entitled "My Pics_Hoverbar."

Right-click to open "My Pics_Hoverbar" in the value section, and open "Modify." Type in the number "1". Check "OK" and close all open windows. Restart your computer. The floating toolbar should be gone.

How to Remove a Floating Toolbar
If you open a file on your Windows computer that has an image, an invisible toolbar will float onto your screen and ask you if you wish to save, download, print or email that image.
