How to Remove PDF Print Restrictions

A Portable Document File (PDF) is an image of a document, letter or paper that can be easily published on the web or sent through email. At times, when you are the creator of the PDF, you may want to control who prints the document. This is to ensure that the PDF does not get into the wrong hands or, if it is long, it does not clog up the printer at work. If you do not find it necessary to have the print restriction on any longer, you can remove it.
    • 1

      Open the print-restricted PDF.

    • 2

Select "Advanced" in the main menu bar. Select "Security" and then "Remove Security." Choose "No Security" in the "Security Method" menu.

    • 3

Type the password in the "Enter Password" box. Click the "OK" button and then click the "OK" button again. Close the window.
