How to Remove Spy Sweeper From the Programs List

Webroot designed Spy Sweeper as an application you can use to remove malicious spyware programs from your computer. If you decide to use another anti-spyware program, you will need to remove Spy Sweeper from your computer's list of installed programs. You can use the Add/Remove tool in Windows to remove Spy Sweeper from your system.

  Click "Start" and select "Control Panel."

  Click "Programs and Features" or "Uninstall a program" if you use Windows 7 or Vista. Double-click "Add or Remove Programs" if you use Windows XP.

  Scroll down the list of installed programs and right-click on "Webroot Spy Sweeper." Click on "Uninstall" or "Remove" from the drop-down menu. Click "Yes" on the pop-up window confirming you want to remove the software. The Webroot Spy Sweeper uninstall wizard will appear.

  Follow the instructions from the wizard to uninstall the Spy Sweeper application. Click the "Finish" button when process completes. Follow prompts to restart your computer, if necessary.
