How to Repair Grout in Bricks With Caulk
When building a brick wall, grout or mortar is placed between the bricks to hold them together. This mortar, although hard, is weaker than the surrounding brick and prone to damage. The damage occurs for various reasons, but one main reason is the freeze and thaw cycles of winter. When water seeps into the cracks and freezes, it expands. This expanding will cause the grout or mortar to break apart. One possible fix for repairing this is to use a specialized caulk that is designed specifically for mortar repair.
