How to Repair the Microsoft Security Center

Microsoft Security Center is a term used to describe all of the tools created by Microsoft and installed on the Windows operating system to help prevent security threats. These tools include the Windows firewall, User Account Control, Data Execution Prevention, Phishing Filters and Windows Defender. These tools are critical to computer security and thus Microsoft has created a tool designed to fix these tools should they fail for any reason. Note that the steps described apply to the Windows XP, Vista and 7 operating systems.
