How to Replace an Armrest on a 1996 Chevy Astro

  Place a small flashlight between the armrest and the seat. Point it toward the floor so you an see the hardware between the armrest and seat.

  Remove the C-clip by pushing up and back on the clip using a small screwdriver. There are two C-clips, one located between the chair and armrest and the other on the outer side of the armrest.

  Remove the outer C-clip from the armrest. Remove the flashlight.

  Push the armrest away from the seat to separate it from the seat.

  Place the new armrest onto the seat. Secure it by pushing the C-clips up and in, using your hand or a small screwdriver.

  Pull the armrest up and down to ensure proper installation.
