How to Replace the Rear Running Lights Fuse in a 2001 Sienna

If the running lights on your 2001 Toyota Sienna minivan stop working, it might be due to a blown fuse. Running lights are located on the front end of the vehicle. They come on when you start your Sienna and stay on until the engine is turned off. There are two fuses that power your running lights. One is located inside the inside fuse panel. The other is located in the under-the-hood fuse box. Since fuses are inexpensive, it is best to change them both out if your running lights stop working.
  • Interior fuse replacement

Locate and open your interior fuse panel. It is located beneath the dashboard to the left of the steering wheel. Open the panel by pulling it down.

    • 2

Remove the fuse by pulling it out with your fingers. If you cannot remove it with your fingers, you can pull it gently out with the needle-nose pliers. The running lights fuse is the second to last fuse on the bottom row.

Push the new fuse into the slot and replace the fuse panel cover.

    Under hood running lights replacement

    • 1

Open your hood and locate your under hood fuse box. It can be found on the passenger side near your battery.

    • 2

Remove the cover from the fuse box by pulling it up.

Locate the running lights fuse and remove it in the same fashion that you removed the interior fuse. The under hood fuse is the fourth fuse on the top row.
